India's Biggest Defence Expo to be held in UP's Lucknow in February 2020

The Defence Expo- 2020 will be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from February 5 to 8, 2020.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the biennial Defence Expo-2020 on February 5.
The theme of the 11th edition of expo is ‘India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub’.
- The Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh informed that Lucknow Defence Expo-2020 will be the biggest, held in India, in terms of participation of exhibitors, the area of the exhibition and the revenue to be earned.
- Around 925 exhibitors have so far registered for the expo, which will be held in an approximately over 200-acre area.
- The event will make the state an important destination for defence equipment as well as aerospace manufacturing.
- Also, 65 MoUs are expected to be signed.
- Before this, the Defence Expo in Chennai in 2018 was the biggest which was held over a 80-acre area, with 702 exhibitors.
- This will be the only second time that the event will be held outside Bengaluru. In 2018, Chennai hosted the show for the first time ever.
