India launches E-Amrit portal for Electric Vehicles at COP26

India has launched E-Amrit portal on electric vehicles (EVs) at the ongoing COP26 Summit in Glasgow on November 10, 2021.
The web portal has been developed by NITI Aayog with support from UK government.
E-Amrit is one-stop destination to provide all information regarding electric vehicles.
The website will provide details related to burst myths around the adoption of EVs, as well as their purchase, investment opportunities, policies, subsidies, among other things to raise awareness about EVs and sensitise consumers on the benefits of switching to electric mobility.
