IIT Bombay Researchers Develop Made in India Microprocessor AJIT

Engineers from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) have developed a home grown microprocessor called AJIT.
It is the first microprocessor to be conceptualised, designed, developed and manufactured in India.
The project was funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and IIT Bombay.
The team of researchers was lead by Prof. Madhav Desai of the electrical engineering department and consisted of nine researchers.
