Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that recruitment examination for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) by IBPS, will be conducted in 13 languages (other than English and Hindi).

Office Assistant in RRB (IBPS)
The exams in 13 local languages will be conducted for the posts of officers (Scale-I) & Office Assistant in RRBs. This has been done to ensure a level playing field & to expand employment possibilities for local youths.

Dates of IBPS RRB Exams
The examination for the post of Officer Scale 1 will be conducted on August 3, 4 and 11 and that for the post of Office Assistant will be on August 17, 18 and 25.
IBPS will select candidates on the basis of the preliminary exam. The candidates who clear the preliminary exam will appear for the main followed by interview round. The interview will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority. The allotment of candidates will conclude by January 2020.
