Hockey India Names Manipur's Gyanendro Ningombam as new Officiating President

The Hockey India Executive Board has named former chief executive officer (CEO) of Manipur Hockey, Gyanendro Ningombam, as the new Officiating President of Hockey India.
The decision was taken during an Emergent Executive Board meeting held on 10 July 2020, following the resignation of Mohd Mushtaaque Ahmad as the president of the Hockey India on 7th July citing personal and family commitments.
Ningombam had served as the CEO of Manipur Hockey between 2009 to 2014,. He has also served as the vice president of the sports governing body till 2018.
