Himachal Day 2021: 15 April

Every year April 15 is observed as Himachal Day.
It was on 15 April 1948 that Himachal Pradesh came into existence as “Chief Commissioner’s province of H.P”, (which can be understood as an administrative division).
Himachal Pradesh became Union Territory on 1 November 1956.
Later on 25 January 1971 H.P. became a full-fledged state. It became the 18th state in India with Shimla as its capital.
