Hichem Mechichi appointed as new Prime Minister of Tunisia
- Tunisia’s President Kais Saied has appointed the Interior Minister, Hichem Mechichi, as the new Prime Minister of the North African country on 26 July 2020.
- The 47-year-old Mechichi succeeds Elyes Fakhfakh, who resigned over allegations of conflict of interest.
