Govt to launch "Indradhanush 2" for covering low immunisation pockets on October 31

Union Health Ministry will launch the “Mission Indradhanush 2.0” on October 31, 2019 that will carry out massive immunization program in 271 districts across the nation and 652 blocks located in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It will cover the areas identified as “low immunisation pockets”.
October 31 is also the silver jubilee of the Polio eradication campaign. However, the campaign will come into implementation from December 2.
Total vaccination program is dedicated for children up to 2 years of age and for all pregnant women
