Government to launch ‘Vigyan Jyoti’ initiative to help girl students to opt for STEM education
- The central government will launch a programme named ‘Vigyan Jyoti’ to help girl students inculcate interest in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
- The program will fund the girl student if she gets into any top institute for pursuing these subjects.
- The programme ‘Vigyan Jyoti’ aims to tap 100 girl students in 550 districts from 2020-2025 and will cover students from class 9 to class 12.
