Germany’s Alexander Zverev wins Tennis Men’s Singles Gold at Tokyo Olympics

  • World No. 5 Alexander Zverev of Germany beat Russian Karen Khachanov 6-3 6-1, to win gold in men’s single tennis at Tokyo Olympics, on August 01, 2021.
  • With this won, the 24-year-old, Zverev has become the first German man to win a singles Olympic gold. He is yet to win a Grand Slam title.
  • Zverev is also the only second German player to win Olympic singles gold, after Steffi Graff won at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
