G C Murmu, R K Mathur appointed lieutenant governor of J&K and Ladakh respectively

Government has appointed the lieutenant governor for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh that will come into existence from October 31, 2019. The new and the first lieutenant governor of these two UTs are:
- Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir– Girish Chandra Murmu
- Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh– Radha Krishna Mathur
The two Union Territories were created after the bifurcation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
Satya Pal Malik, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, has been appointed as the Governor of Goa. He will take over from Mridula Sinha.
BJP Kerala unit president PS Sreedharan Pillai has been named the new governor of Mizoram. Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has been holding the additional charge of Mizoram.
Dineshwar Sharma, has been moved to Lakshadweep as the administrator.
