- Former Indian international footballer and national team midfielder M Prasannan, has passed away. He was 73.
- Prasannan played for Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa in Santosh Trophy National Football Championship.
- He made his international debut against the erstwhile Republic of (South) Vietnam on August 9, 1973, in the Merdeka Cup, in Kuala Lumpur.
