- Former Information & Broadcasting (I&B) and Higher Education Secretary, Amit Khare has been appointed as the new Advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 12, 2021.
- Khare is a 1985-batch IAS officer from Bihar- Jharkhand cadre.
- He has been appointed for a period of two years on contractual basis as Advisor to the Prime Minister in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
