  • The Disaster Mitigation And Management Centre (DMMC), Uttarakhand and IPS officer Shri Kumar Munnan Singh, ex-DG CISF, has been conferred with the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar 2020.
  • DMMC received the award in Institutional category while Mr Kumar received in Individual category.

  • The Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar was instituted by the Government in 2019, to be announced every year on 23rd January on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
  • All Indian Citizens and organisations, who have excelled in areas of Disaster Management; like prevention, mitigation, preparedness, rescue, response, relief, rehabilitation, research/ innovations or early warning are eligible for the award.
  • The award can have maximum of 3 winners. Both institutions and individuals are eligible for these awards.
  • For an institution the prize money is Rs. 51 lakhs and for an individual, the prize money is Rs. 5 lakhs.
