Delhi Police becomes first police force in country to digitise all malkhanas
- The Delhi Police has become the first police force in the country to digitize all malkhanas, rooms for keeping seized arms and ammunition, across every police station in the state.
- Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik inaugurated the e-malkhana project of the remaining 10 districts at Chinamaya Mission
PM Modi launches pension management software SAMPANN for telecom dept pensioners
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a comprehensive pension management software SAMPANN to facilitate pensioners of the telecom department.
- SAMPANN, an acronym for System for Accounting and Management of Pension, will help in timely disbursement of pensions.

- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the IRRI South Asia Regional Centre (IRRI SARC) in Varanasi .

Russia successfully tests hypersonic missile
- Russia has successfully tested its new Avangard hypersonic missile. The missile was launched from a testing ground in the southern Ural Mountains and successfully hit a target on Kamchatka in the Far East, some 6,000 kilometers away.
- The hypersonic missile could fly at 20 times the speed of sound and manoeuvre up and down, meaning it could breach defence systems
Luka Modric Wins Balkan Athlete of The Year Award 2018
- Croatia captain Luka Modric was named Balkan Athlete of the Year 2018. He is only the second football player to win this prize after Bulgaria’s Hristo Stoichkov.
- He defeated Serbia’s world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic to win the Award.
Former Nigerian President Shagari dies at 93
- Former Nigerian President Shehu Shagari died at the age of 93.
