CBDT task force for new direct tax law gets 3 months extension
- A task force set up under the CBDT to draft a new direct tax law and replace the existing Income Tax Act for which the deadline was February 28, 2019 has been given a three-month extension till 31 May, 2019.
- The head of the task force is Akhilesh Ranjan.
