Bharti Airtel COO, Ajai Puri, Appointed as Chairman of COAI for 2021-22
- The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has re-appointed Ajai Puri, Chief Operating Officer (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel as its Chairman for the year 2021-22.
- Additionally, Pramod Kumar Mittal, President, Reliance Jio Infocomm, will also continue as the Vice Chairman of the COAI for FY22.
- Ajai Puri and Pramod Kumar Mittal, were appointed to the telecom industry body for the first time in financial year 2020-21.
- COAI is an Indian non-governmental trade association and advocacy group focused mainly on telecommunications industry.
