[Apply Online] Kalia Chhatra Brutti (KALIA Scholarship Scheme) of Odisha Government

Introduction: Chief Minster of Odisha has launched the Kalia Chhatra Brutti (KALIA Scholarship Scheme) for children of farmers eligible for Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (Kalia). The online registration of Kalia Chhatra Brutti Scheme has started from February 19, 2019.

What is KALIA Scheme?

KALIA stands for Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation. The scheme provides financial benefits to small (land area of 2.5 – 5 acres) and marginal farmer (land area less than 2.5 acres).

Benefits to Small and Marginal Farmers: Rs.25,000 per farm family over five seasons
Benefits to Landless Farmers: Rs 12500/-
Life Insurance Cover- Life Insurance Cover worth Rs 2 lakh at a premium of Rs330. (Age between 18-50)
Accident Insurance Cover- Rs 2 lakh at a premium of Rs 12.

What is Kalia Chhatra Brutti Scholarship Scheme (KALIA Scholarship Scheme)?

It is a Scholarship scheme for students of Odisha who are children of farmers eligible under the KALIA Scheme.

Farmers eligible under KALIA Scheme are:

Small and Marginal Farmers
Landless agricultural households
Vulnerable agricultural household

The Odisha State Government will bear all the fees like course fees, hostel fees and mess fees of the eligible students.

How the students would get the scholarship amount under the Kalia Chhatra Brutti Scheme: The scholarship amount will be directly credited in the bank account of the student.

Now go to part D of the form (Permanent Address Information). The required details are given below:

Select your Block
Enter your complete address.
Enter PIN Code
Enter your parents mobile number

Now go to part E of the form (Bank Details). The required details are given below:

Select your Bank
Select Branch Name
Enter Your Account Number
Enter your branch’s IFSC Code

In Section F. Tick the check box “My Father/Mother is receipt of KALIA Beneficiary.”

Choose the next option as applicable.
Click on Submit Button.
After you submit the form of KALIA Scholarship online the Head of the educational institution would verify the genuineness of the applicant like if the applicant is day scholar or hostel boarder, whether in receipt of any scholarship earlier or not etc.
