Andhra Pradesh govt launches Nadu-Nedu' program for transforming govt school

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ programme which aims at transforming government schools into vibrant and competitive institutions.
The scheme was launched on November 14, 2019 i.e Children’s Day.
The total budget of the scheme is Rs 12,000 crores. Out of this, Rs 3,500 will be spent in the first year. All schools will be covered under the scheme in three years. In the first phase of the scheme, 15, 715 schools will be covered.
