AIG Hospitals Chairman Dr D Nageshwar Reddy becomes first Indian to win Rudolf Schindler Award

The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) has honoured India’s Padma Bhushan awardee Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals, with the prestigious Rudolf V Schindler Award, for his work in the field of endoscopy.
Dr Reddy is the first Indian medical practitioner to win this award.
Rudolf V Schindler Award is named after Dr Schindler who is considered as “the father of gastroscopy. It is the highest category award in the Crystal Awards of ASGE.
Dr D Nageshwar Reddy is the Chairman and founder of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG), Hyderabad, the biggest gastroenterology hospital in the world.
He received the Padma Shri award in 2002 and Padma Bhushan award in 2016
