Mohana Singh Becomes First Female Fighter Pilot to Fly Hawk Jet
- Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh has become the first woman fighter pilot to fly by daytime on a Hawk advanced jet aircraft.
- She achieved the feat at the Kalaikunda Air Force Station in West Bengal on May 30, 2019 as she landed after undertaking 4 aircraft combat sortie.
- This was the last syllabus sortie to become fully operational pilot on the Hawk Jets.
- Earlier, Flight Lt Bhawana Kanth became the first daytime woman fighter pilot to fly a MiG-21 Bison.
