- The 6th edition of Bangalore Space Expo-2018 (BSX 2018) began at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru from September 6-8, 2018.
- The focused theme for this edition is “Creating dynamism in Indian Space Ecosystem”.
- The biennial event has been organised by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Antrix Corporation Limited
- The expo would provide an opportunity for space industries from India and abroad to showcase their expertise, technologies and systems for exploring newer avenues of business; and further, serve as an ideal platform for building an eco-system for space technology, production, space applications and space commerce.
- Indian Space Research Organisation has earmarked Rs 10,400 crore for manufacturing PSLV and small satellite launch vehicles along with small satellites. Of the total amount Rs 9000 crore will be for private industry to build satellite launch vehicles.
