17 Scientists Receives SwarnaJayanti Fellowships Award 2020-21
- The Department of Science & Technology has selected seventeen scientists for the prestigious Swarnajayanti Fellowships 2020-21 award for their innovative research ideas and the potential of creating impact on R&D in different disciplines.

About Swarnajayanti Fellowships Scheme
- The Swanajayanti Fellowship scheme was instituted by Government to commemorate India’s 50th year of Independence.
- Under this scheme the selected young scientists are provided special assistance and support to enable them to pursue basic research in frontier areas of science and technology.
- The award consists of a Fellowship of Rs 25000/- per month for a period of 5 years.
- The awardees also get research grant of 5 lakh Rupees for 5 years.
