Commerce Ministry launches SWAYATT initiative for GeM

• Union Minister Suresh Prabhu, launched SWAYATT initiative and Start-up Runway in New Delhi on February 19, 2019. 
• SWAYATT is an initiative to promote Start-ups, Women and Youth Advantage using e-Transactions on Government e Marketplace (GeM). 
• Start-up Runaway- it is an initiative of GeM in association with Start -up India to help Start-ups that are registered with Start -up India to access the public procurement market of GeM and sell their products and services to government buyers. 
• GeM- Government e Marketplace is an online market place for procurement of common use goods and services by government ministries, departments and CPSEs and was setup in 2016.
