World Food Safety Day: June 7
- The first ever World Food Safety Day was observed on June 7, 2019.
- The theme for the World Food Safety Day 2019 is “Food Safety, everyone’s business”.
- The day was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2018 to be observed every year on June 7.
- It has been launched by WHO, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization to ensure access to sufficient amounts of safe and nutritious food is key to sustaining life and promoting good health
