JK Rowling releases her new work 'The Ickabog' online for free for Children during COVID-19

The “Harry Potter” author, J.K. Rowling has released her new children’s story “The Ickabog” which will be published online for free, for the children during this lockdown period.
The Ickabog’ is a story about truth and the abuse of power.
The first two chapters of “The Ickabog” was released on a new website on 26 May 2020. The author will post the chapters (two or three at a time) every weekend over the next seven weeks.
Rowling has pledged to donate all royalties when the book is published to “groups who’ve been particularly impacted by the pandemic.”

Contest

Rowling has also announced a contest for illustrations to be included in the print and ebook editions of the story.
The contests invites children ages 7-12 to submit drawings to accompany the chapters for a chance to win a signed copy of the completed book and a prize package for their school or library.
Rowling will post suggestions for illustrations with each chapter.
