India 7th largest economy in terms of GDP in 2018, US on top: World Bank

• India has been ranked at 7th in terms of GDP in the World Bank’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rankings in 2018. In 2018, India’s GDP was $2.72 trillion.

• The US is on the top with a GDP of $20.5 trillion, followed by China on second with $13.6 trillion GDP. Third is Japan ($4.9 trillion),  Germany ($3.9 trillion) is fourth, UK ($2.82 trillion) is fifth and France ($2.77 trillion) is sixth.

• In 2017, India had overtaken France as the sixth-largest economy.
