- Every year April 22 is observed as the International Mother Earth Day (or Earth Day).
- The day aims to spread awareness that “the Earth and its ecosystems are our home” and “it is necessary to promote harmony with nature and the Earth.”
- The theme for 2019 Earth Day is ‘Protect Our Species’
