India Ranks 140 in World Press Freedom Index 2019

India has slipped 2 positions to be placed at 140 out of 180 countries in the World Press Freedom Index 2019, released annually by Reporters Without Borders (RWB), a non-profit organisation based in Paris.
The index has been topped by Norway for the third year running while Finland and Netherlands are second and third respectively.
The bottom of the list has been occupied by Turkmenistan(180) and North Korea (179).
