IIT Madras Top Indian Institute: NIRF 2019 Rankings
- The fourth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework or NIRF India Rankings 2019 was announced on April 8, 2019 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in New Delhi.
- The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, released the India Rankings 2019 and presented the India Rankings awards to the top institutions in 9 different categories.
- He also released the first edition of Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA).
- The rankings were based on parameters namely Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.
