HRD Ministry launches STARS scheme worth Rs 250 crore
- The Ministry of Human Resource and Development has launched a project named STARS’ or Scheme for Translational and Advanced Research in Science, to fund science projects.
- The outlay of the project is Rs 250 crore. It aims to cover around 500 projects. Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will coordinate the project.
- The STAR Scheme was launched on National Science Day i.e February 28, 2019.
