Gagandeep Kang becomes First Indian Woman to be Elected Fellow of the Royal Society
- The Royal Society of London has announced the list of 51 eminent scientists who have been elected to its fellowship in the year 2019.
- India’s Gagandeep Kang has become the first Indian woman to be elected to the Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), in 359-year history of the prestigious scientific academy.
- 56-year-old Dr Kang is working with the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute, Faridabad.
